Preparing for a Bug Clean Out

Time to get ready for pest control. Before we arrive for your first Pest Control service, a few steps need to be taken on your part to ensure we can effectively control pests in your home or office.

Now these steps are for just the first Service, the technician will inform you if any steps need to be taken on following visits.

Please keep in mind, these guidelines are for serious infestations or once a year treatments. If you are preparing to sign up for monthly, bi-monthly, or quarterly service, only follow these steps in areas of severe pest problems.

Pets

  • Your pets must be vacated for at least four hours.
  • Fish tanks must be covered and sealed with plastic Pumps and exterior filtration systems must be turned off for four hours.
  • Birds and reptiles must also be removed.
  • All pet food and their dishes must be empty and covered.

Attic

  • Your technician will need to access your attic if pest problems have spread into that area.

Exterior

  • Remove all pet food water dishes, toys including any children toys from the perimeter of the house/ building
  • Grass and weeds should be trimmed from the perimeter of the building to prevent pests from bypassing any treatment.
  • You must remove all debris from the building perimeter.

Bedrooms

  • Remove all items from closet floor and lower shelves.
  • Remove all dresser draws if pests have invaded these areas.
  • All items may be stacked on your bed and covered.

Bathrooms

  • Remove all medicine and personal effects you may place items in plastic bags and sealed, you may place bags in tub or medicine cabinet.

Things to do in the Kitchen

  • Remove all items from all cabinets and storage areas where pests have been seen.
  • All open foods including fruits must be placed in the refrigerator or in sealed plastic bags.
  • Cabinets should be washed and clear of debris. ( use a vacuum cleaner where possible).
